Our Story

At The Clatfords Village Store, we think good food, quality locally sourced food and ingredients should be available to everyone at prices that don’t cost an arm and a leg.

The Store opened its doors in Goodworth Clatford as a Community Store in 2004. The shop is operationally managed on a day to day basis by a full time Manager and part time Assistant Manager but many of the other positions are volunteers from within our community.

We are always welcoming of new volunteers. Please go to the Volunteering in the Store for more information.

The Store operates on a not for profit basis. All profits are ploughed back into the shop to ensure growth and continuity of services and to ensure the shop goes from strength to strength to continue to act ‘as the beating heart of the community’
